'SALE'

Here you will find original artworks that have remained in my keeping for some time as well as latest artworks. Some select artworks are now available for the first time. Certain artworks have remained not for sale as they represent a marker to a lynch pin moment or for personal strong connections.

Please bare with me as I upload more artworks daily...

You may be aware that I recently won a place upon the MA in fine art at the prestigious City and Guilds of London Art School. Only 10 student are selected to benefit from this intense and rewarding year long course. This priceless experience will of course be financially challenging as I will be commuting to London daily.

I hope the reduced prices of the artworks reflect my passion and dedication to make this year of study and development a fully embraced experience. I strive to become a contemporary and critically relevant artist and develop my unique voice beyond my own expectations.

Prices will start for as little as £30 upwards...

I hope you you find something you like!

If a particular piece takes your eye but the funds are not wholly available immediately, installment plans can be arranged. Please do get in touch with any queries.

Oblivion

'Oblivion' was created for the Folkestone Museum as one of four artworks hung in my solo exhibition 'Force of Nature', showcasing elements of natural phenomena as well as native flora and fauna to the British Isles.

'Oblivion' is exectued in biro on paper and measures

2018

Original price £3500

Do not hesitate to get in touch for finer detailed better quality images, I can provide these quite promptly.

The price reduction is reflective of an incident that occurred whilst on show with the museum. A visitor (unmonitored) took a drink into the museum and spilt a milk based drip of fluid upon the artwork. I can only assume they wanted a closer look. The museum paid for a restoration treatment to the artwork but unfortunately the stain is still very slightly visible. However, this does not interfere or invade the image and can be trimmed away. Images can be supplied upon request.

'Night Start' Hypnic Dreamscape

'Night Start' Hypnic Dreamscape, represents the abandonment of the human psyche launching headlong into an unwritten future. The Mare is symbolic of the power and beauty within this chaos and the circus like apparatus proposes and unstable and precarious ground.

The hypnic awakening is the jolt before the fall within a dream. Dreamscapes are a current interest I am pursuing at present within my repertoire.

'Wisdom of Her Tears'

'Wisdom of Her Tears' was exhibited as part of a group show in Margate at the end of 2019. The inspiration for this piece came from a news story capturing the rare moment a moth drew tears from the eye of an owl, this replenishing it’s flight.

'Wisdom of Her Tears' was exhibited as part of a group show in Margate at the end of 2019 titled ‘Schwarzwald', also known as the Black Forest.

The inspiration for this piece came from a news story capturing the rare moment a moth drew tears from the eye of an owl, thus replenishing it’s flight. I likened this imagery to drawing upon the wisdom of the owl in this gentle symbolic gesture.

The landscape feature a psychedelic skyline akin to the northern lights the edges of the paper engulf the image in a cave like surrounding festooned with magical mushrooms.

This dramatic artwork will capture anyone’s heart in the most majestic way.

'Wish it Away'

'Wish it away' was exhibited as part of a group show in Margate at the end of 2019 titled ‘Schwarzwald', also known as the Black Forest.

A wishbone stands monumentally stoical. Above a blanket of indigo, magenta and viridian hues immersed amongst the stars of this velvet rich night sky. Three wishes are made. The rest is history.

Grants wishes subject to t’s and c’s, at the very least brings joy to any home at a moments glance.

'Omen'

'Omen' was exhibited as part of a group show in Margate at the end of 2019 titled ‘Schwarzwald', also known as the Black Forest.

An Elk and a beautifully iridescent Magpie make for unlikely travel companions on a quest. A festooned offering of golden ripe apples awaits them. The cosmic sky blesses their journey with the presence of three shooting stars.

Shyly following their tracks is the mythical Wolpertinger. According to the folklore, Wolpertingers can be found in the forests of Bavaria, so legend had it. This antlered hare’s breath has awoken the seedlings of the dandelion as they dance away.

This statement artwork reads like a richly tapestried scene, in the flesh the penmanship is luminous. A bold investment yes, but what a treasure to behold.

'The Curse'

'The Curse' is the big sister of "The Curse and Dreamscapes'

Here we see an abandoned swing, piercing the star lit clad night sky. Among a lush inkiness, the moon is in it's crescent phase. This phase of the moon is said to align with the menstruation of woman. This abandoned swing is the symbolic shift of girlhood to womanhood.

However, set amongst the majestic fireflies the aesthetic here is pushing a fable or fairytale narrative. An image we could readily relate to a darker tale written by the Brothers Grimm or an adaptation by Angela Carter.

The Curse & Dreamscapes

'The Curse & Dreamscapes' presents a landscape of the female psyche.

However, in contrast to its predecessor (older sister) 'The Curse', which sets the scene amongst an heavily clad starlit sky. 'The Curse & Other Dreamscapes' presents this scene of transition from girlhood to womanhood with a fresher surety and bolder aesthetic. I wanted to revisit this scene not because the predecessor wasn't a success but to see the subject in a different, more positive light. The light of day literally changes the narrative and greatly changes the viewing experience.

'The Nixie'

'The Nixie' was due to be exhibited as part of a group show in Margate at the end of 2019 titled ‘Schwarzwald', also known as the Black Forest. Unfortunately, the space was too small to hold too many of my larger works. So this piece has remained as yet largely unseen.

I wanted to capture as much magic within this artwork as possible. I had an everything but the kitchen sink mentality when it came to the making of 'The Nixie. For this reason, I think this artwork is an exceptional display of my ability as an artist. In turn showcasing my attention to details and the depth of research that is studied with each artwork. It's a triumphantly bold nod to all things majestic in the nature of fairytales.

Where else can you envisage, fireflies whizzing amongst mossy green hairy trees. A bear weightedly laps at the waters edge, whilst a vision of a Nixie emerges from the starry nighted bog. Reflected in the waters deep, is a full moon in all her shimmering glory. We catch a glimpse of a fawn as he skips across the waters, kicking the reflected stars back up to the sky in delight. Resting buoyantly upon the surface of these waters are joyously pink lilies in full bloom awaiting a kiss from a frog. Sadly perhaps, the frog is laid out drunkenly playing with his golden ball, awaiting the fair maiden. He may be waiting for quite some time...

This statement artwork reads like a richly tapestried scene, in the flesh the penmanship is luminous. A bold investment yes, but what a treasure to behold.

'White Rabbit'

'White Rabbit' is inspired primarily by Lewis Carroll’s 'Alice Adventures in Wonderland' but also any white rabbit that has featured in many books, films or popped out of a magician's hat.

I wanted to create a series of artworks as a homage to all the best children's stories that we all know and love. The ones that captured our spirit of adventure and imagination and have remained in our hearts ever since. The white rabbit is such a character, he is that symbolic carrot of curiosity that draws us along to unknown places and new experiences.

The white rabbit hops upon a psychedelic tree stump, natures plinth heralds this albino being to icon status, he's so cool. As dusk approaches and the pink moon rises with the stars, we ask ourselves

"Shall we follow him?"

an the answer invariably is

"why ever not?".

'Shapeshifter'

'Shapeshifter' is inspired primarily by Lewis Carroll’s 'Alice Adventures in Wonderland' a poses a classic shapeshifting scene with a contemporary twist.

I wanted to create a series of artworks as a homage to all the best children's stories that we all know and love. The ones that captured our spirit of adventure and imagination and have remained in our hearts ever since.

Alice Adventures in Wonderland is a heavily heady and psychedelic trip. As Alice whirlwinds in and out of transformative and shapeshifting experiences, she constantly questions her choices and her identity.

As with all interpretations of Alice I wanted to avoid labelling her identity, after all we are all Alice at some point or other. So here I have captured her shadow as she enters the David Lynch like warped room of black and white tiles and the impossibly small door with a key now too far to reach!

"Drink me?"

'Wailing Rose'

'Wailing Rose' is inspired primarily by Lewis Carroll’s 'Through the Looking Glass'.

I wanted to create a series of artworks as a homage to all the best children's stories that we all know and love. The ones that captured our spirit of adventure and imagination and have remained in our hearts ever since.

Depicted here is the moment Alice stumbles upon a giant flowered garden. Naturally of course, she is now no bigger than a thumb. Contrary to replicating the moment a rose and her petaled bed fellows commence their operatic ramblings, I thought it would be far more amusing to feature a wailing baby who has been rudely awoken by the bee. The wailing baby's siblings peek over a petal or two to see what all the commotion and fuss is about. As one of the siblings leans downwards the petals in turn light up his face with a buttercup yellow, he obviously likes butter.

This cacophony of flora features, roses, tiger lilies, violets and daisies, they crowd around and spill over the page in a desperate attempt at winning best in show.
